In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service, ESCO’s Youth Leaders came together to turn compassion into action by creating and donating more than 200 handmade fleece scarves to Journeys | The Road Home, a local homeless shelter serving individuals and families in need. The project reflected Dr. King’s call to serve others and uplift communities through meaningful, hands-on service.
Youth Leaders worked collaboratively to design, assemble, and package each scarf, ensuring every donation offered both warmth and care during the cold winter months. The scarves were delivered to Journeys | The Road Home to support their mission of providing safety, stability, and hope to those experiencing homelessness.
This Day of Service project is part of ESCO Youth Leaders’ ongoing commitment to community engagement and leadership through service. By dedicating their time and effort to this initiative, the youth leaders honored Dr. King’s legacy while making a tangible difference in the lives of neighbors most in need.
