Testimonials
“Elite Soccer Community Organization has been the biggest donor to the Wheeling Township Thanksgiving basket program for the last 10 years. Each year, children and families within their soccer program make up at least half of total baskets given out to needy residents of Wheeling Township. Since 2009, ESCO has donated 1,058 complete Thanksgiving dinners, which included a gift card for every family to purchase a turkey.
“We couldn’t serve as many families as we do without the commitment from ESCO. The kids arrive smiling and carrying the baskets that will help their neighbors. The parents comment that organizing the Thanksgiving baskets is a great way for their kids to learn about community service. It really is an excellent partnership!” remarked Director of General Assistance, Julie Villarreal. Additionally, every fall ESCO also donates countless pounds of extra food to help stock the shelves of the Wheeling Township Emergency Food Pantry after the holiday.”
